Your exact terms are provided before acceptance.
This page provides a general explanation of rates, finance charges, minimum payments, down payments, and possible account charges. It does not establish the annual percentage rate or fees for any individual customer. Your specific disclosures and accepted account agreement control.
Understanding financing costs
When an eligible furniture purchase is financed, the amount remaining after the required down payment becomes part of the customer’s financed account balance.
The cost of financing may depend on:
- The amount financed.
- The annual percentage rate assigned to the account.
- How long a balance remains outstanding.
- The timing and amount of payments.
- Additional purchases or account adjustments.
- Returns, refunds, credits, or payment reversals.
- Any fee or charge specifically disclosed in the agreement.
Paying more than the required minimum payment may reduce the outstanding balance more quickly and may reduce the total finance charges paid over time.
Annual percentage rate
The annual percentage rate, commonly called the APR, expresses the applicable interest rate as a yearly rate.
The APR available to a customer may depend on applicable state law, the financing program, underwriting results, account terms, and other legally permitted factors.
DecorationPath will disclose the APR applicable to your account before you accept the financing agreement. You are not required to proceed if you do not wish to accept the terms presented.
Do not rely on an example, estimate, or general website statement as your actual APR. The rate displayed in your individual financing disclosures is the rate that applies to your account.
Finance charges
A finance charge is the cost of carrying an outstanding financed balance under the terms of the account.
Depending on the account agreement, finance charges may accrue based on the applicable APR, outstanding balance, billing cycle, account activity, and balance-calculation method disclosed to the customer.
Finance charges may continue to accrue while a balance remains outstanding, subject to the account agreement and applicable law. Making only the minimum payment will generally take longer to repay a balance than making larger payments.
Your agreement will explain:
- The APR applied to the account.
- When finance charges begin to accrue.
- The balance-calculation method.
- The billing-cycle or periodic-rate information.
- How payments and credits affect the balance.
- Any applicable grace-period terms.
Account balance calculations
Your current balance may include financed purchases, applicable finance charges, authorized account adjustments, and other amounts permitted by your agreement, less posted payments, returns, refunds, and credits.
Your available credit may generally be determined by subtracting the current account balance and pending applicable activity from the approved credit limit.
Pending payments, payment reversals, refunds, returns, or account adjustments may not immediately change the displayed balance or available credit.
What is currently owed
The amount reflected on the account after posted purchases, payments, finance charges, credits, and adjustments.
What may remain available
The unused portion of the approved credit line, subject to pending activity, account status, and applicable restrictions.
Minimum-payment calculation
The minimum payment is the lowest amount required by the account terms for a particular payment period.
Under DecorationPath’s current financing structure, the standard minimum-payment calculation is generally:
Accrued interest plus 4% of the applicable outstanding balance
The actual minimum payment shown on your account may be affected by payment credits, prior amounts due, account adjustments, final-balance treatment, or other terms stated in your agreement.
When the remaining balance is less than the otherwise calculated minimum payment, the full remaining amount may become due, subject to the account agreement.
Your Customer Hub and account records should be reviewed for the current minimum payment and due date.
Required down payment
An approved customer may be required to make a down payment before a financed furniture purchase can proceed.
The required down-payment percentage or amount may vary by product, financing program, approval terms, purchase amount, and other applicable requirements.
The exact down payment will be displayed before the customer authorizes payment. The down payment reduces the portion of the furniture purchase added to the financed balance.
A down payment is part of the furniture purchase. It is not an additional finance charge. Its refundability is determined by the applicable order, cancellation, return, and payment terms.
Potential fees and charges
Only charges that are permitted by applicable law and disclosed in the relevant agreement, authorization, or transaction information may be imposed.
| Charge | General explanation | When it applies |
|---|---|---|
| Finance charge | The cost of carrying an outstanding financed balance at the applicable APR. | As stated in the accepted account agreement. |
| Late-payment charge | A charge that may apply when a required payment is not received by the applicable deadline. | Only when authorized by the agreement and applicable law. |
| Returned-payment charge | A charge that may apply when a payment is returned, reversed, rejected, or cannot be completed. | Only when disclosed and legally permitted. |
| Delivery or shipping charge | A product-fulfillment charge associated with delivering furniture to the customer. | Shown as part of the purchase before order confirmation. |
| Redelivery or access charge | A possible charge resulting from a failed delivery, inaccurate address, denied access, or customer-controlled delivery issue. | When disclosed and permitted under the applicable order terms. |
| Return or cancellation charge | A possible restocking, return-shipping, cancellation, or supplier charge for an eligible return or cancellation. | Only as stated in the product-specific purchase policy. |
This table explains categories of charges that could apply. It does not state that every charge applies to every customer or transaction.
Late and returned payments
A payment should be submitted early enough to be received and processed by the applicable due date.
A payment may be returned or reversed because of insufficient funds, incorrect account information, a bank rejection, a payment dispute, a processor decision, or another payment failure.
A late or returned payment may result in:
- An unpaid amount remaining due.
- A permitted and disclosed account charge.
- Restrictions on available credit or future purchases.
- Account review, suspension, or other servicing action.
- Credit-reporting consequences when applicable.
- Collection activity permitted by the agreement and law.
Submitting another payment does not automatically remove a previously incurred and valid charge unless DecorationPath confirms that an adjustment has been approved.
Additional and early payments
Customers may generally pay more than the required minimum using an available payment option, subject to account status and payment processing limits.
Paying more than the minimum may:
- Reduce the outstanding principal balance more quickly.
- Increase available credit after the payment fully posts.
- Reduce future finance charges.
- Shorten the time needed to repay the balance.
An additional payment does not necessarily replace a scheduled future payment unless the account records or agreement state otherwise. Customers should continue reviewing the Customer Hub for the current amount and due date.
Any treatment of a payment exceeding the full account balance will be handled according to the agreement, payment-provider requirements, and applicable law.
Changes to account terms
Account terms will not be changed solely by updating this general webpage.
When DecorationPath changes an account term, rate, calculation, or charge in a manner that requires advance notice, the required notice will be provided before the change becomes effective.
A change may also result from:
- A customer-requested and approved account modification.
- A legally required change.
- The expiration of a temporary or promotional term.
- An account event addressed in the accepted agreement.
Credit-line increases are subject to review and approval. A request does not guarantee that an increase will be granted.
Statements and account records
The Customer Hub and applicable account statements or notices may display:
- The current account balance.
- The approved credit limit.
- Available credit.
- The applicable APR.
- Finance charges or interest activity.
- The current minimum payment.
- The next payment date.
- Purchases, payments, credits, and adjustments.
- Any properly assessed fee or charge.
Customers should review account records promptly and contact DecorationPath if information appears incorrect or if a transaction is not recognized.
Pending transactions may appear differently from fully posted activity.
